Spring's progress

Hiya

This morning, as the sun is rising, you can almost watch the green leaves grow and expand on shrubs and trees-- the difference just from yesterday is astonishing.

Early yesterday there was great excitement among the bluetits that seem to be nesting nearby. At least five or six of them were flying down from the window boxes upstairs to stop on the telephone wires, and flying back up again. This morning, one of them, with some of its plumage fluffed up -- a youngster? -- came to check out my kitchen window again and again and again. Could it be that the nestlings have already flown? Was that the excitement yesterday?
