Mirrors

Hiya

I heard an absolutely sublime piece of music on BBC Radio3 this morning. It was the Estonian composer Arvo Pärt's Spiegel im Spiegel (Mirror in the Mirror), a ten-minute piece for cello and piano composed thirty years ago (according to the Arvo Pärt website).
It so very perfectly suits some photographs I had the pleasure of taking recently in the glen not far south of Oban that has Loch Scammadale in it. The day was perfectly still, which has been quite rare of late.
Here are just a few impressions of what reminded me of the Oeschinensee area in the Swiss Alps -- for the stillness, the stark contrasts and the steep drop of mountain across the water -- the Oeschinensee is actually a lot more claustrophobic than this near pristine loch...Cheerioh for now and don't get too frantic in the run-up to the Holidays, please.

Peace!
