A Colombian friend has just sent me some rather fantastic photos of a tiger mum in a Californian zoo who lost her (very rare) triplets during or just after birth. She was very depressed so the vets decided to give her a few substitute babies. As orphaned tigers are exceedingly rare and none could be found for her, they hit on a different solution.




As the last photo shows, this happened quite some time ago, but it's still a great story, don't you think?
