Women in the majority in the Swiss government

Fantastic news for once from bonny wee Switzerland: the 7-piece Federal Council now consists of a majority of women.

Yesterday, Simonetta Sommaruga, from the Social-Democratic party, was elected in the first round of voting by a very comfortable majority of elected members of the Swiss parliament.
