Audrey Hepburn's Beauty Tips, actually by Sam Levenson

Hiya again

The time-tested beauty tips that I'm quoting below have been falsely attributed to Audrey Hepburn. According to Wikipedia, she used to recite them to her sons. They were actually written by Sam Levenson, who wrote them for his grandchild.

For attractive lips, speak words of kindness.
For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people.
For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry
For beautiful hair, let a child run his [or her] fingers through it once a day.
For poise, walk with the knowledge that you never walk alone.
People, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed;
never throw out anyone.
Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, you will find one at the end of each of your arms.
As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands; one for helping yourself,
and the other for helping others.

Audrey Hepburn starred in My Fair Lady, the second film I ever saw in the cinema. My Mum took me as a Christmas treat when I was 14 or 15.

The first ever film I saw in the cinema was Heidi, which my godmother Heidy took me to see for my 10th birthday, 48 years ago.  It was a black-and-white film. I'm not sure whether it was the fabled 1937 version or the Swiss version produced in 1952, with Swiss star actor Heinrich Gretler as "Alpöhi" (Alp-Uncle).
