Reprieve for Arduaine Garden, Argyll, Scotland

Hiya all
Sometimes, people power does work. This encouraging message just in:

****
I am delighted to advise you that, following completion of our consultation with staff and stakeholders, the Board of the National Trust for Scotland has decided that it will continue to open Arduaine Gardens for the next 12 months. As a result of cost savings and the generosity of some donors, including the Jeniam Foundation and the McCoss family, we will use the next 12 months to consider further means of ensuring that Arduaine has a sustainable future. Part of that will be raising for an endowment fund to secure long term support.
If you would like to be kept informed of progress at the garden, do please let us know and we will keep in touch. If you would like to donate to the endowment fund, for the exclusive support of the garden, please make cheques payable to the National Trust for Scotland and forward to the following address: Arduaine Appeal, Development Dept, the National Trust for Scotland, 28 Charlotte Square, Edinburgh EH2 4ET. Alternatively, you may donate online through the following link to our website.
To register your continuing interest, please e-mail us at: savearduaine[AT]nts.org.uk.
Your generous support is greatly appreciated.
Best wishes,
Kate Mavor
Chief Executive

Off to visit the garden this afternoon; the last trip properly speaking with my parents. It's been such a good visit!
