Hiya
The 26th Highlands and Islands Music and Dance Festival is happening in Oban this weekend. So the town is very busy indeed.
Still, I took a little time out to walk with a friend, and came across these beautiful wildflowers: geraniums and bluebells galore:By the Corran Halls, Oban's large events venue, some not-so-wild flowers looked spectacular in the warm sun:And yes, before I wended my way home, I did stop by the train station/bus station square to catch some of the music being played by excellent pipe and drum bands. Here's a wee taster:I've just failed uploading a short video that would have given a bit of music and movement, too, but will try again later.
Cheerioh!
