Some rather handsome specimens of skunk cabbage (Symplocarpus foetidus) along the road from Oban to Ganavan. I didn't put my nose to them...

And this is a photo taken on May 10. The leaves are stunning, the smell is a bit like a fox' lair -- pungent, to say the least. You can see why it's called "cabbage"...
