Evening sun in Oban

Oban can be a simply stunning place. Take these photos of a week ago. The days are getting longer and longer, with dawn breaking at about 5:30 and dusk lingering until well after 9:30.
I spent too long that evening and caught a chill which made my already bad cold a lot worse. But, hey, the things we do for a great view!
Yesterday, I went to the same place to see if there might be dolphins out in the flat calm Bay. Nope. But there was an otter cavorting in the water less than fifty yards from the shore awash in tourists and locals watching the creature. As my friend and poet Kenneth Steven wrote, "otters are 90 per cent water" (don't quote me on this, I'm writing from memory but hope to check this later and make sure it's correct). I can feel a poem coming on...

PS: One of these days I must learn how to create panorama photos. There used to be a great free website that offered the service (photostitch or something like that), but no more... Shame!
