A wee birthday souvenir

Hello again
Yes, I'm cooking here -- post after post after post. Well, there's much to celebrate around here.

For example, a couple of birthdays: the second of August is the birthday of two of my best friends, K.W. back in St. Gallen, Switzerland, and R.L. here in Oban. As I couldn't very easily take K. out -- and she was in the lovely company of her two fantastic sons -- R. got my "treatment".

We enjoyed an excellent meal at Oban's Piazza, one of two restaurants sitting side by side on Oban's North Pier (the other one's is the celebrated Ee-Usk, the prize-winning fish and seafood restaurant).
