Last week I was invited to attend the Bernese equivalent of the Oscars, i.e. the award ceremony of the canton of Berne's prizes for film, documentaries, film music and music. One of my longest-standing clients was awarded the Great Music Award for his life's work as a musicologist.
It was a modest but heart-warming event, with lots of fascinating snippets from interesting films. Theo gave a funny yet informative talk about one of his favourite composers, Pierre Boulez. Boulez will direct Ensemble Modern here in Bern -- at last! -- at Zentrum Paul Klee in mid-November.
